Benefits of grounding?

Sun Oct 11, 2009, 10:48 AM
  • Mood: Eager
  • Reading: Les Miserables
Thanks to our English teacher, I now have the ability to write pages and pages and pages of whatever I wish to fill them with without hand cramps. For example, I wrote an eight page "abridged" version of CATS when I should've been finishing my eight page studying guide on "The Kite Runner", which I have a test over tomorrow. I plan on having that up, eventually.
Despite being grounded, I went to see Toy Story 1 and 2 in the 3D on Monday :D with my papa. Together, we undermine my mother! (yaaaaaay)
Today I got the script for my church play so now I have twice the rehearsals :/. I prefer the greek tradgedy "Iphigenia" we're doing with my school other than the miniscule play that my church is doing.
In Greece contemporanious (-completely stole that word from Wilson-) with the play "Iphigenia", after a tradgedy, in Greek meaning goat-song, there was a short skit-type thing that was performed after called a satyr, satyrs in Greek mythology was a half-man half-goat (think Mr. Tumnus) that were joyous and gay, etc. Satyrs were a comedy piece performed after the Tradgedy, so the cast of "Iphigenia" has been pitching ideas at the lead character of the play, who is also an aspiring director, since he's going to be writing it. One of the ideas pitched was a chorus line formed by the chorus within the tradgedy. I happen to be in the chorus and I am beyond excited at the prospect of being in a kick line 8D. Just one more reason to come see the play, folks.
There's also a scene where King Agamemnon, after a night of nasty with a Random girl, is served eggs the next morning, so in the satyr, we're doing an entire scene made up of egg puns.
At the end of the play, Clytemnestra, mother of Iphigenia and baby Orestes, goes crazy so an idea was pitched that she should punt the baby.
So to sum it up, reasons Chattavegas people should go see Iphigenia:

1. I'm in it
2. I'm wearing a toga and barefoot on-stage (this too excites me)
3. I'm in a kickline
4. Chance of babies being kicked
5. Egg puns
